huron lofts

The Huron Lofts, originally known as the “Lake Hotel”, was an elegant turn of the century Colonial Revival style structure completed around 1896. In addition to the comprehensive restoration of the building exterior, including all new windows, masonry cleaning/repointing and a new roof, the project also included a complete reconstruction of the building interior, restoring many of the original corridor and apartment walls, as well as decorative plaster columns and mantels. Totaling 8 units, averaging roughly 1,000sq.ft, the predominately two bedroom two bath units, will be accessed from either the main lobby or stairway maintaining the historic integrity of the public space. All work done to this 11,300 sq.ft. historic property meets the Secretary of the Interior’s “Standard for Rehabilitation” permitting project to receive both Federal and New York State Historic Preservation Tax Credits. Balance of project financing was privately secured.
